Software Systems Engineer

Northern Light SinglePoint, LLC in Boston, MA seeks a Software Systems Engineer to own and manage the process of releasing applications software to production systems. Will research, design, develop and test operating system-level software, compilers, and network distribution software in order to release products. Design and remotely administer servers and network systems for the release of the products. Understand the complex software architectures and network topologies to deploy software plus improved performance and reliability. Will troubleshoot software application problems and content aggregation solutions working with 3rd party content delivery processes. Will lead teams of release engineers and other technical personnel involved in the release process. Required working knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, LDAP, Active Directory, Fedora Directory Server, MS Exchange, Apache, PHP, Oracle NoSQL, MySQL, and Hadoop. Will be on call 24/7 to direct the customer application support troubleshooting group. Requires masters degree in engineering, computer science or related field plus two years of experience in network/systems administration as team lead or in the offered position. Foreign equivalent degrees accepted.
